Franco-German university grants

The Franco-German University (UFA) develops, coordinates and funds study programmes between French and German higher education establishments. It thus supports the dual-degree courses with SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM’s partner universities.

Beneficiaries

The beneficiaries are students enrolled on the Franco-German dual-degree courses at SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM and UFA. There are two possible destinations:

  • Ilmenau, with the Technische Universität Ilmenau,
  • Karlsruhe, with the Hochschule Karlsruhe – Technik und Wirtschaft.

Conditions for obtaining a grant

  • Students are selected according to academic, technical and language criteria.
  • The mobility lasts for 20 months at the most. According to the SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM’s cooperation agreements this period is included in the training course.
  • The length for which the funding is provided and the monthly amount of the grants are determined according to the UFA’s criteria. This is a non-renewable grant.
  • The beneficiary undertakes to complete the whole dual-degree course. In the event of dropping out, repayment of the grant may be demanded.
