The SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM partnership platform: A unique scheme in Franche-Comté.

The partnership platform allows the engineering students to take charge of industrial projects while benefiting from joint industrial and educational supervision, at the service of innovation and competitiveness.

Launched in 2012, the partnership platform provides access to innovation, thanks to SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM’s technological resources and cutting edge skills.

A unique innovatory scheme !

Well-supervised projects

 

A dedicated project-team takes charge of the industrial projects. This team consists of supervisors (teachers and teacher-researchers who are experts in the area), engineers and technicians from the School (providing technical support) and SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM engineering student interns with Master’s level.

Support is provided for the project over one or more semesters, with periodic project review sessions organised with the partner company..

Far-reaching technical and technological ressources

The project can be organised at SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM, in the company or divided between the two. In fact, the partnership platform has a space with an area of about 350 sq.m, dedicated to hosting projects and which is organised as follows :

  • Open-plan area with desks and high-performance computers
  • Meeting and project-review area 
  • Room dedicated to intermediate and mini projects
  • Mechanics and metrology space
  • Electronics, automation, mechatronics and experimental works space
  • Space for design work
  • Space dedicated to new projects in the incubation stage and start-ups.

 

When education meets the corporate world

Thanks to the partnership platform scheme, the company’s project is analysed by a technical and educational team. Once it has been validated, a project team is put in place Engineering students are selected for this during a recruitment phase associating the supervision team and the company’s representatives. The project is then launched and runs for a period of 5 or 6 months, the end of which is marked by the production of a deliverable
