The final outcome of each internship completed by SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM students, the thesis defence days are an essential aspect in the life of the School !
Six key days !
Every year SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM organises six internship defence days. Indeed each immersion internship and end-of-studies project is the subject of a threefold assessment in line with the recommendations of the CTI (Engineers Qualification Commission) :
- The skills acquired at the time of the internship are the subject of an assessment by the company tutor.
- Each student must describe their work in writing, in the form of an internship report. This report is assessed according to a precise set of specifications.
Lastly the intern presents their work before a jury in which the company tutor is invited to take part. Each jury consist of SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM teachers and teacher-researchers – for the defence of the end-of-studies project, the jury is completed by an SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM engineering graduate.
Internship defense days schedule
- End of January and end of February for the second-year students who want to go to Italy, Spain or Germany for a dual degree.
- Beginning of April and beginning of November for the defence of the immersion internships.
- End of June and end of September for the defence of the end-of-studies project.
- End of June for all the apprenticeship training internships.
In line with our internship agreement, these six defence days are exclusively organised at SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM.
